We finished the last post with a suggestion that you do the saliva test for CANDIDA. How many of you did it?

Candida, which really messes your gut up, also causes you to crave sugar; keep that in mind.

We’ve been saying it repeatedly that gut health is extremely important for immunity and not getting autoimmune diseases. We’re really just repeating what Hippocrates said more than 2500 years ago.


To emphasize how quickly we can mess up our gut; I’ll briefly go over what is called the “leaky-gut-syndrome.”

Our intestines have a lining that is the first line of defense in our immune system. When we eat “junk food”, have chronic stress, have chronic inflammation, are on medication, have candida yeast, this lining becomes porous or permeable. Thus, larger, undigested food molecules and other ”bad stuff” (yeast, toxins, and all other forms of waste) that your body normally doesn’t allow through, flows into your blood stream.

The result, in a nutshell, is inflammation, chronic inflammation and, most probably, autoimmune diseases.

Let me tell you how easy it is to end up with “a leaky gut”.


Wait, it gets worse; they fed young college students a “McDonald’s breakfast” (on top of gluten, many toxic additives), it took their guts 14 days to come back to a normal (non-leaky) state.



If they choose to go to a classic (allopathic) doctor, they usually get medication. In one case that was shared in the interviews, up to 20 kinds. Initially, they may get some relief from their symptoms, but no cure. It is claimed that some medication might make conditions even worse.

We mentioned Functional Medicine in the first two posts; well that’s usually a step taken in the right direction. Thorough blood works, gut analyses, toxicity analyses and getting to know the patient.

After 10 hours of listening to doctors and patients, there seems to be ample evidence that autoimmune diseases like MS, Celiac disease, Hashimoto, Lupus, Vitiligo and all the others can be much more effectively cured by starting the patients on a “Comprehensive Elimination Diet”. Try eliminating the following for 30 days and see what happens. All the people interviewed in this 10-hour series were cured.

So what did they stop eating?

  • Grains (gluten)
  • Sugar and artificial sweeteners
  • Milk and milk products
  • Legumes
  • Corn
  • Soya

I’m serious. Please re-read: “Nutrition/Health”, dated March 11, 2015. I suggest what you should and SHOULDN’T eat.



  • Processed foods (if possible, don’t buy anything with an ingredients label on it).
  • Commercial toothpastes (some contain carcinogenic chemicals and even gluten), and shampoos and soaps.
  • Aluminum is found even in baby formulas. Also in antiperspirants, vaccines, etc. Don’t use aluminum foil at home.
  • Home air fresheners.
  • GMO containing fruits and vegetables; 80 % of GMO have pesticides inside them.
  • Flame retardant materials for home use and clothing.
  • Plastic bottles and food containers have BPA in them. This is very toxic; use glass.
  • Smoking (it changes the character of tissues in the lung and opens the way to attacks from the immune system).
  • Teflon
  • Most cosmetics. I’m sure that women can find ones that are not toxic. Did you know that some lipsticks contain lead?

I could go on but I think you get the message. Of course, our toxic environment is beyond our control; we breathe in noxious fumes from cars and industry and are exposed to different poisons every day.

Did you know that some agricultural chemicals cannot be used in the US but CAN BE EXPORTED? So it’s OK to poison other people?

I have read that there are about 90,000 lobbyists in Washington, D.C. I guess this explains why GMO labeling legislation just CANNOT be passed.

And people wonder why Donald Trump was elected president; could this be a protest against a system that has gone bad?



These are very important for maintaining good gut health and immunity.

  • Vitamin D
  • Zinc
  • Turmeric
  • Glutathione
  • Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Vitamin B12
  • Chlorella (it is said to get heavy metals out of the body)




This is a true story that a doctor put forth in one of the interviews. A kidney transplant patient was given medication to prevent the body rejecting the new organ. Along with the medication, he was given a green drink, which was just a placebo. Gradually they started reducing the real medication (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc.) but continued with the placebo green drink. Eventually, he was just taking the green drink AND THE BODY DID NOT REJECT THE NEW KIDNEY.

I think this is an excellent example of how powerful our brain is.

The root of many diseases is the dislike of one’s self, due to childhood abuses and other factors. So, strive to love yourself. How?

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping)
  • Meditation
  • Writing what bothers you down; keep a journal or just burn what you jotted down

That wraps up what I have gleaned from the video presentations/interviews. I hope you will think about what was put forth and ideally benefit from adapting them as part of your life.

Remember that more than 90 % of our genes come from the bacteria that we live with, our microbiome. Your lifestyle enables you to switch on good genes and shut off bad ones. That is epigenetics. Re-read “Epigenetics”, April 21, 2016.
